Gallery | Textured weavings
Textured organic weavings are usually made on my peg loom or my large tapestry loom.
I find weaving is such a perfect way to combine a palette of interesting colours and textures – and it really makes my heart sing to see an assortment of gorgeous yarns all ready to start a new weaving!
I love to use natural fibres, such as wool, cotton, linen, alpaca yarn, silk, and gorgeous hand-spun and hand-dyed yarns. I also love using recycled sari silk and velvet ribbons, and yarns that would have been thrown away - always with an eye towards sustainability.
Oh, and I like to keep the 'dark side of the loom' almost as neat as the front when I weave...
